As I live and breathe

So much is going on, plans, needs, machines breaking down, bills to pay, fatigue and aches but, "As I live and breathe", takes on a whole new dimension since Segev is improving beyond my craziest expectations. And that's all that really matters at the moment...

Early morning winter
Pere is surprised by the sudden sunshine
Segev is enjoying morning medicinal inhalation(begone pneumonia!)
So that's where the sun was hiding

  1. Yeah, I hear you---the stairlift broke, and then the furnace broke, and now the refrigerator's hum sounds slightly ominous. But compared to a kid feeling better? It's all just stuff. Tiring and expensive, but...

    1. I have no doubt that electric and especially electronic appliances are oft under the influence of the tremendous energies we are capable of producing. I can't wear a watch for example, every one I've ever worn has stopped, since I was a child; 'poltergeists' and such. I hope the recent outbursts of anger have settled:I certainly feel a diminished burning of the fire, that pressure to always perform where Segev's health is concerned. Not certain yet what it all means. As always thanks for the comments.

  2. Absolutely wonderful news...nothing at all compares to the "high" from watching your kid get much better...all seems upward; so happy for both of you!

    1. Nothing compares to the high unless it's the...low of unrealistic expectations being dashed to pieces. That's the advantage of being a pessimist, you are rarely surprised or disappointed. Frankly Phil, I truly find myself in shock from this turnaround because as bad as the last month has been, with nights of frantic work to act as a ventilator for Segev, the positive change is dramatic. I wanted to put up a video but then thought better of it lest I tempt the fates in all too greedy a fashion.

    1. As long as we can maintain a stable outlook things are alright, I suppose. Fatigue is always there, and I set out from the assumption that it always will be and thus look for ways to function regardless. The anger was problematic, I hope it has passed, certainly influenced by many factors including the one year mark of my mother's passing. The danger I feel is now not to fall into complacency which would compound the mistakes I have made recently due to fatigue. Best wishes for Jack and family.
