Unfortunately anything with a zipper of any kind or buttons are out of the question with Segev. The problem is not actually the clothing, the problem is what happens when you try to put clothing on flailing arms or a coughing boy. Velcro also would press on his skin and is cumbersome. Oversized clothing is the best bet. But the post is also about putting your best foot forward eventhough the night was terribly difficult and thus there being little distinction between the two. Good to see you back.Eric Fischerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02471331868560587898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5000267568708943345.post-56259354499388043362011-11-17T07:48:19.267+02:002011-11-17T07:48:19.267+02:00Dear Eric,
Love the look of your blog, you and Ph...Dear Eric,

Love the look of your blog, you and Phil are putting me to shame :)

Sorry I haven't been about, we were on a whilwind last week, did a planes trains and automobiles stint.. but at least I didn't break the car seat lol!

Oatie is smaller but so agree on Diaper design... WHY don't they get someone to actually design a proper on. Oatie's dad on our way to the airport mistakenly at 5am put on 2 diapers, it worked a treat on the plane... so I did the same on the way home.

Not being a super seamstress... but I do make stretch figure skating pants, tops etc etc for my older two.... and they do stay together :)

Not having got to that stage yet with Oatie.... but is there suitably designed long sleeved clothing on our special boys?

Well I ask, as I really haven't found much on special clothing... well none that isn't dungarees....

Well, no scoffing,... but in my "spare time" I would be happy to sew something for Sergev and Phil's Adam if that would help :), or adapt a normal item of clothing.

Just an idea... maybe poppers for the sleeves or a soft zip on each arm (like where the seam is).

I have to say it's Jeans with me... and Oatie... he LOVES them but it's a challenge to get them on sometimes especially after swimming.

Love

Mel
xxxOatie - IWillSkate on Icehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01239644838455889910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5000267568708943345.post-88156833321794558742011-11-16T22:16:25.823+02:002011-11-16T22:16:25.823+02:00I sure understand the "changing the shirt syn...I sure understand the "changing the shirt syndrome". Adam has rigid contractures in elbows and wrists and putting a long sleeve shirt on him is a major undertaking. I won't even go into crappy designed diapers...we have to put two on to contain whatever and even that protocol leaks...agrhhhhh! BTW, your new blog background far outshines my changes. I'll have to learn, but at almost 64 years old the olde neurons fire more slowly.
Also, I would love to encourage Marcelle to join the blogging world...always interested in her comments,Phil Dzialohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04150881545903849250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5000267568708943345.post-61736076028113211482011-11-16T14:13:13.190+02:002011-11-16T14:13:13.190+02:00I wish very much thay you'll find the time and...I wish very much thay you'll find the time and energy to come out of the "blog closet" Marcelle. Not only do I find it physically challenging for myself but I am sometimes impressed by the ingenious methods I have developed to make dressing and undressing as pleasant as possible for Royce. He doesn't always appreciate my gentle and encouraging pulls and probes but I know I'm making the process as nice as I can. Will my physical strength hold out? Only time will tell. I'm not giving up in a hurry.mhkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09824535162225016668noreply@blogger.com
